What is a Bodybuilding Diet Like?
The diet of a bodybuilder is just as important if not more important than the actual lifting. Without a diet ther is no bodybuilder.There can be a very big difference in two bodybuilders diets depending on their current goals. There are usually similarities though which usually consits of high protein, low suger, and low fats. The stereotypical diet consist of chicken, rice, and vegetables. This diet is pretty typical in bodybuilding because of the amount of calories and protein in chicken. Chicken is one of the more healthier meats out there and can be used in so many different ways. Some bodybuilders might be eating more chicken than other depending on ther maitenance calories or if they are cutting or bulking.
What is Maitenance Calories
Maitenance calories is the necessary amount of calories for you body to maintain weight. Some factors like your height, current weight, and metabolism can influence this.
What is Bulking?
Bulking is the process of putting on muscle mass and eating a more calorie dense diet. Usually the abs and vein with fade and not show. Essentially, the bodybuilder is trying to put on mass due to the extra calories boosting the bodies ability produce size and strength. Usually bodybuilders will do this after their show to put on more muscle mass.
What is Cutting
Cutting is the process of eating less calories than your maintenance calories. This is done to lose as much fat with losing as little muscles as possible. Usually when you see a bodybuilding show they are at the peak of their cut.
